This story and all its evidence is still going to be discussed over and over on all broadcasts, regardless of the headline attached to it... so it seems like a no-brainer to at least want to have the best headline you can get in your favour.

I believe that when allegations are made, there is nothing wrong with due process. Treliving is doing the right thing
He has made his first comments on behalf of the team, which were generally appropriate.
They are going to be as transparent as they can and they are not going to be commenting on every piece of information as it becomes available.
The team’s official and final position and detail on actions taken will be expressed when they are ready.
I don’t want to see the team pandering to headline writers. I do want to see them do the right thing.
