For very good reason, I expect. The reason it took Aliu so long to come forward, and didn't actually do so until his playing days were done is the same reason why Babcock's antics were the stuff of rumours until only just the past week.
There is a conspiracy of silence in hockey that perpetuates abuse. With the new reports that Carolina's player leadership group took their complaints to the GM and it resulted in no action is a good indicator why it has been allowed to continue for so long.
