it seems like there is a bit of a 'culture of silence' in the NHL (and probably all pro sports)... but you'd think they would have talked to the Canes management and possibly former assistant coaches at least prior to the hire?
i'd be curious to know more about Derek Ryan, who played for Peters down in the WHL and chose to sign with Calgary, in part, due to his relationship with Peters... Now it could very much be a case of stars being treated differently, so maybe Ryan never bore the brunt of Peter's behavior, but i'd be surprised if he never saw anything...
anyways, its a cluster f that's for sure...
