I understand it from a Flames perspective. They need to act quickly, but no too quickly. Need to complete a serious investigation. I can say from experience that these types of workplace investigation often take weeks to complete. Obviously, in the context of the type of media attention that this is/will receive, they don't have weeks. But I think a day or two is entirely reasonable.

Absolutely. They will make sure they have all their ducks in a row before making anything official, even if it's already pretty much a done deal
