Define abuse in a hockey context. Is benching someone abuse? Is yelling at poor performance abuse? Is swearing abuse? Where is the line where coaching becomes abuse?

Hockey (and sports in general) are not a typical corporate environment, so how can one expect corporate boilerplate in how coaches address their team.

I find it interesting that everyone is now all of a sudden "NHL coaches are mean!". Yeah no kidding. This board is mean when the Flames don't play well.

I think there's an interesting discussion to be had about what is actually acceptable in modern pro sport, but I don't think those answers are necessarily obvious.
