I don't think that the allegation is that Aliu was sent down as a racist act. He was sent down because he objected to the abuse and it was punishment for standing against Peters actions. That means that the coach tried to destroy someone's career to salve his own ego.
Two different actions, and each deplorable. I wouldn't blend them together as racism, just because that could identify the incident as one act instead of a calculated second act.
