It's also tough to discredit Akim, but the allegations he's making stretch further than just the use of the word - which itself is a problem. First, the word was used at him - which is one big element to 'context' IMO. It absolutely doesn't make any other use right, but it's obviously a different allegation than him referring to the music.
But for me, the biggest allegation is this:
"And instead of remedying the situation, he wrote a letter to John McDonough and Stan Bowman to have me sent down to the ECHL."
If Peter's is so racist he sent an email to have him removed this will be corroborated. I can't imagine Peter's didn't want certain people on his team and verbally abused him without anyone else having witnessed it.

This claim is just odd to me.
When do coaches in the A "write a letter" to the management of the club in regards to a player? Were there no phones way back in 2009?
Honestly, Bowman and Peters would have been in contact daily regarding all players and everything else going on with the Rockford team. Peters very well may have wanted Aliu off his team, but that could be for a variety of reasons. It certainly doesn't have to mean it was race based, though it also could be.
Lot's more information needs to be added to this thing before anyone makes a judgement on any actions to be taken. The one thing that has to happen soon though is Peters himself needs to speak and either deny things, add the context in which things were said or flat out admit he did what was alleged.
The complete silence is allowing this thing to get out of control. Though it is only early morning in Pennsylvania (or where ever they are at this point) the club has had enough time to make that happen.
