The fact is we don't know for certain the exact details of any non-trade, nor the reason they failed. The final version of a trade is often a little or a lot different than the media speculation hours earlier. The rumour you posted doesn't trump the other Minny at fault rumours that have been reported. The truth almost certainly falls somewhere in the middle.
Also, the butterfly effect of any of these past close-trades taking place is impossible to predict. Zucker on the roster would have lead to a very different off season.
