Here's the funny thing is that they used Jango to fix Boba's story.
Originally Bobba had been a law man on concord Dawn who killed another Protector and fled for his life and became Boba Fett the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy.
Then when AOTC came out they went oh crap. Wait we can fix this. Jango because the guy from Concord Dawn who had been thrown out on his butt and disavowed. It was actually pretty clever in terms of repair work.
Then later boba got cancer.
