To me it looks like the players are not happy. Struggling as they have for the past couple weeks is bound to have that effect.

I see no evidence for this. As a fellow bystander, there is nothing obvious in how the team plays, how they interact the coaches, what the coaches say in public to indicate one way or another whether the issue is coaching. It could be, but given the history that this group has with previous coaches I suspect more than likely the problems start with the players.
