Yeah I do think this might be square peg round hole at this point.

I think they are trying to play defense but they are just bad at it. But due to that it's actually hurt them at both ends of the ice.

They are still getting hemmed in their own zone, and don't seem to have the ability to play good positional defense, or break out of the zone cleanly.

But since they aren't cheating or trying to take more risks to create more offense, the offense has dried up too.

Now we are getting the worst of both worlds.
