Over the last 10 games we have the lowest high danger shooting percentage in the league (8.70% - league average is 18.2% in that time period).
In that time frame we also have the worst High Danger Save Percentage (.720 - .817 is the league average in that time frame).
Last year for the full season our High Danger Shooting Percentage was 20.4% and High Danger Save Percentage was .832.
So while we are struggling this year in terms of creating quality chances in that High Danger Area, we are also in a bit of a bad luck spell when it comes to finishing and saving those chances - and that's been the story in this stretch.
In both the Phoenix and Vegas games there were plays where the Flames either missed or their goalie saved a grade A chance at one end, only for the play to come back the other way and them to score on their grade A chance at the other end.
And that's just how these last 10 games have been. They score on their big chances, we can't finish ours.
