I don't think it's that big a stretch. Gaudreau and Monahan combined for 191 points last year, Couturier and Giroux 161. Plus they are younger and on fairly team friendly contracts. The total combined cap hits are very close.
Gaudreau is from that area so that my be good for the Flyers.
