Just a reminder, only a season ago Backlund had three more 5v5 goals than Lindholm in less icetime, and only one fewer than Tkachuk.
The amount of flack guys who are not on PP1 get when they're not hot is astounding.
Backlund's had a bad year, and still only has one fewer 5v5 goal than Sean Monahan.
And then there's people talking about Sam Bennett's awful finish, where he has more goals in 2/3s of the ice time than either Gaudreau or Monahan do so far while shooting a respectable and highly sustainable percentage.
Backlund would be the first to tell you the finish hasn't been there.
It's not an indication of some long running lack of finish because he failed to raise one shot in the playoffs.
