That's hardly a ringing endorsement for Backlund.
I like Backlund a lot, but he's been pretty poor offensively this year despite getting a lot of help from Tkachuk 5 on 5.
The team is struggling to score. Time to mix things up and see what happens for a while.

So Tkachuk racks up PP1 points with:
Gaudreau (99 point guy), Gio (Norris winner), and Monahan and Lindholm (both roughly point per game guys)
You say that is not a ringing endorsement for Backlund. You do realize that has a bit to do with the other guys on the ice, right?
If you put Tkachuk on PP2 with, say, Jankowski, Rieder, Stone and Hamonic, do you think Tkachuk “being away from Backlund” would help that situation?
