Fair enough. I am uncomfortable with the changing tone of Remembrance Day celebrations as fewer and fewer veterans of the world wars are part of it but I know it has deep significance to a lot of people. Hard to express an opinion on this without rubbing a lot of people the wrong way and I didn't soft-peddle it, but beyond Don Cherry's offensive comments, there is a problem with people getting upset and offended at people who don't wear poppies. We don't all share the same worldview or understanding of history or geopolitics. Happy to hear the views of others on this but I hate feeling like I can't say what I think about it.
