Of course not wearing a poppy is free expression. Saying stupid, xenophobic and nationalistic things is free expression, too. Or at least it should be. Sadly Canada is creeping towards PRC-style controlled speech and this is a high profile example of the price you pay for stepping out of line. The goal posts of politically correct discourse will continue to shift and will eventually insnare even those who cheer this trend on.
