What he meant was immigrants love the opportunities that living in Canada gives them, he's right 'we' do, and 'we' immigrants are always grateful to this wonderful country for the benefits it has given 'us', the benefit of being able to work hard and do well and succeed regardless of race creed or colour.

No one gives up everything, their home, friends and family, to travel half way round the world to come to Canada to live on welfare in a CMHC housing program, 'we' come here to work and thrive, it is what Canada offers us, a place to do well.
