I respectfully disagree. I have far more issue with a guy who says something discriminatory and doesn't recognize it as discriminatory than the guy who humbles himself before the public for his passivity. I can respect someone for sticking to his convictions as much as the next guy, but there's a logical limit to that, don't you think?
Of course he's trying to save face and his job, but it takes a lot to admit you did or participated in something that was wrong, own it, and promise to be better. That and MacLean doesn't have a documented history of narrowmindedness.
