If you question the patriotism of immigrants go work for a day at an election. You will meet many people that are so excited to be voting for the first time and proud of being part of a country that lets them vote. It’s such a different attitude from a voter who has voted many times. It’s amazing to see.
So I don’t think Cherry is correct that immigrants care less about the sacrifices of soldiers in the wars. They may not be aware of Canadian traditions like remembrance day if there is any deference between multi gen Canadians and first gen Canadians.
Cherry basically reminds me of my Granmpa. Racist by today’s standards but a product of his day who got along with people of all backgrounds. He should have retired years ago. Watching that segment he appears to lose his train of thought and he stumbles through his points.
