I think it is really important to focus on the entire quote, and not
this redacted version which is prone to misinterpretation. He said, "you, that come here." There is no ambiguity in what Cherry meant there, and pretending otherwise is a farce.

Agreed, pretty clear who the "you" are that he is referring to. Again he had every opportunity to clarify.
I don't want to set Don Cherry on fire. Getting old sucks. I have seen it with my Dad and his friends. You start losing your mental sharpness and you get angry at things. I get it. Unfortunately, Cherry just shouldn't have this platform any longer. Because this kind of talk is divisive.
Given how much the guy is worth, does he not have some handlers who could have helped him here? Maybe he just won't listen to anybody. I don't know.
