Gaudreau is likely the most competitive guy on the team, after Gio. The way he bangs his stick and curses when pucks aren't going in is very telling. He does that even in games where the team leads and he's already out up points. Most likely he's gripping his stick a bit too hard right now.
He's just going through a bit of a slump. Happens to everyone. It'll pass. People need to relax a bit.
