I don’t recall the specific “I walked in to (place x) and saw (x number of) (description of people) , etc.” that you guys are referring to.
I think he probably didn’t see as many poppies in general wherever he was, wanted to take the opportunity to advocate for veterans, as he always does. He also has in the past encouraged everyone to get poppies based on what they represent and where the proceeds go. This time he used the stick not carrot. I’m pretty sure something came out wrong.
Now let me ask you this. Do you think he went to the studio, thinking, “Remembrance day is coming up. I really want to take a swipe at visible minorities, not so badly that I will mention them explicitly, but boy, what a great opportunity. Let’s go!”?
