I was impressed with the price of the Civic, until I realized that most options were extra, and had to be paid for. The Sentra came fully loaded for only another 1600, so I don't know how closely the end price of a comparably equipped Sentra and Civic are.
The Sentra and the Corolla S were nearly the same price, about 24,000 each. I think a similar Civic was around the same, before options were added.
