Outrage culture? Sure, I mentioned it. People threw out the word racism. The most specific thing he did was group together people who don’t wear poppies, no? You may have a case starting with the word xenophobia, based on him saying people come here. I don’t know if he said where here was.

It’s not the whole answer. But a lot of comments in here do seem to be more based on inference than information. And there is also lots of ‘holier than thou’ too.
"You people come here". I can infer he's talking about immigrants vs 4th generation Canadians. If that's not what he meant its on him to clarify.

And yes, inaccurate...Don has absolutely no idea the numbers of immigrants who do or don't wear poppies, whether they wear them sometimes, lost them, accidentally put them in the laundry. He has no idea who is an immigrant or not just by looking at them either. His entire statement is a bunch of nonsense.

I'm actually with you in that I don't think he's racist -- but to assume you have the upper hand on Canadian patriotism while making assumptions about "you people" he's making generalizations in his head based on something.

If Don wants to clarify his statement I'm all about giving him that opportunity. But from what I saw, it was a boneheaded take.
