He's right. The always smiling/growling/yelling enthusiastic small guy who couldn't see an obstacle big enough to stop him and his love for the game, seems to have found one.

Really hope he figures it out soon and gets it dealt with what ever it is. Until then its going to keep looking like this. He has been awful regardless of some offense on the season.

Everyone knows how good he can be...but he aint anywhere close to that right now.
Quarter life crisis?

Change of results starts with you changing something. Approaching the game the same way, with the same routines (of lack thereof), diet, pre-game prep will lend itself to similar results because internally you know you're doing nothing different. Changing a couple of those in a notable way is a good way to put yourself into a different frame of mind, because you know that you're changing your old pattern, so mentally you open yourself up to the possibility of a ripple effect from those new habits. So much is mental and sometimes you have to do a little reprogramming to see differences externally, even if you're tricking your brain in a way because you're really not changing a whole lot.

Gaudreau could benefit from a change of routine, gear, meals, activities. The whole situation just screams "stale" and "stuck". He needs some reasons to feel like tomorrow stepping on the ice is different than today.
