I believe you can over analyze these moves too much, and putting much credence into media comments isn't wise IMO.
Bill Peters' job number one is to put the best line up together in order for the Flames to win hockey games. Kylington down and Davidson up means they want to see if they have a better chance of winning with that configuration.
If Peters doesn't like what he sees in games or practice, this won't last long.
I don't believe it's coincidence that this move coincides with Kylington's poor play in the last game. You don't have to agree with it to be sure.
