You're right it would be nice not to focus on that, but it is a muslim thing. A lot of the war on terror rhetoric we've been hearing paints muslims as frightening, not to be trusted, up to no good. And I think, unfortunately, a lot of people have bought into that mistrust of muslims, subconciously if not outright. That has been a part of the politcal culture of the west for at least the last decade, probably longer. Watch the news, you see angry muslims in the middle east, burning things, marching the streets, carrying out attacks. We have been pounded with these images of muslims for a long time now. I think it has sunk into the western psyche to certain degree.
