I think Gwendoline Christie is an excellent actor. Phasma is also a very good representation of a character that would be likely to succeed in a top down fascist style government, like the New Order.
I may be influenced by the fact that I liked Christie in the GoT. I think they missed a major opportunity to play off that by presenting a character with similar demeanour but also totally self-serving and sadistic.
