I doubt Treliving figured they'd be drafting anywhere near 12 at the time. That said, I don't think Dobson will be higher than a second pairing D, which is what Hamonic is now.
That said, I used to think Hamonic was by himself on the team as far as skill set goes (I disagree that Stone is anywhere near Hamonic as far as defensive play and transition). That's why I figured Brodie was the more obvious guy to let go, given similarities with his game and Kylington. However, I now think Andersson brings a lot of what Hamonic does as far as grit, physicality, and decent transition.
I don't think Treliving would have much difficulty trading Hamonic - he fills a gap on a lot of teams and he's good value.
