You are probably right but given how tight this team is against the cap I would not be happy with a long term $5 million/season deal for a guy like Hamonic who is the type of player that even the slightest bit of decline would render him a 5th defenseman at best. The deal would have to be in the low $4 million range or I think it would be another bad deal for the team to carry.
