Ah yes, where narratives about a failing economy and an oil only city that has nothing for rich people to do outweighs actual 3rd party objective rankings.

I think most NHLers have all Canadian cities on their ntcs, it's the media spotlight and nothing else. When it comes down to it have we ever heard of a player that didn't end up waving to come here because of the city?

Kadri is the only one that comes to mind, but as we heard he was just trying to stay in TO not spiting the city. There are numerous examples of players who did waive their NTC to come to Calgary.
