I disagree.
1. Some NHL players with limited ties to the city still choose to move here (see Brouwer pre-contract.)
2. Calgary is consistently ranked one of the nicest places to live... on earth. Cleanliness, affordability, "most liveable"... you name it. The city is a nice place.
Not sure why Calgarians feel the need to lump ourselves in with dumps like Edmonton and Winnipeg when literally no third parties think they we deserve to be in remotely the same category. Cities often ranked close to calgary in listings:
- Vienna
- Osaka
- Vancouver
- Copenhagen
- Melbourne
Your opinion is unpopular because it's not backed up by anything, not because it's hard to accept.
