Bad bounces tonight, but again, a lack of secondary 5 on 5 scoring, and specifically having a 2nd scoring line, is to blame.
BT can’t build all he has to have this window, to have a patchwork second scoring line which is useless with one bad winger and a off and on centerman. After last years playoffs and the two documented attempts to change that second line at the deadline or in the offseason, he’s aware it’s a bad set up that needs addressing.
When teams such as tonight have 2 good shut down lines, they run those lines out against our top line and dare the Flames to beat them with anything other than the top line.
