I feel the flames bigger issues are tactical. Opposition has learned a lot from the avs on how to pin this team, disrupting/slowing down the flames breakouts. Flames are a fast skating team, like most teams team speed isn't about personnel, as much as it is the ability to break out with speed off a few quick, short passes to guys with forward momentum built up.

Until Peters comes up with something to adapt the adjustments teams have made, the flames will try and try, but look like they are getting nothing done (like the avs series).

Flames lose this one. 3 in 4, b2b against a team hungry to get going. I think the coaching getd back to cgy and the team sorts itself after a few practices.
It's the start of the season, so can take some time for the team to gel, but the Flames issue as was in the first round is that the team is extremely reliant on the first line being able to contribute. If you shut down that line, you win the game by default since the other three lines are no threat at all.

I hope Peter isn't hesitant in altering the first line to provide more balance throughout the line so then the team isn't a one line team only. With Monahan, Gaudreau, Tkachuk, and Lindholm in your top 6, there should be a combination that can work where you have two actual scoring lines. Gotta hope there's a player on the team that can be like Ferland was here. On their own without much offensive support, they don't amount to much, but if you surround him around offensive players that can set them up, they can be a finisher.
