Give me more fans that get upset after a loss. Give me more guys like Doughty who gives the home team fans the business after scoring a goal in OT.
I'm pretty sure we're allowed to get emotionally invested in our favorite team's success or failure. I was a grown man with a newborn sorn when the Flames couldn't close the deal in 2004 and it still hung around with me for a long time. I'd love for the Flames to make me that invested again and if you feel something like that way now, then that is something to be celebrated IMO.
