I couldn't think of an unpopular opinion for a while there, but pretty sure this is up there.
Frolik should be treated more like Neal got treated or Bennett gets treated: instead of demoting him after a bad start of less than 2 games, try to build him up by giving him some time on the (2nd) PP and the occasional shift with the 1st line to get his mojo back and his confidence up.
If Frolik does not bounce back, the depth on wings for this teams is kind of crap, and the 'tough love' Peters is giving Frolik has not been very effective.
EDIT:
I realized mine was an unpopular opinion when I tried to balance the offense by putting Lindholm with Tkachuk, and came up with this:
Gaudreau - Monahan - Frolik
Tkachuk - Lindholm - Bennett
Mangiapane - Backlund - Ryan
Lucic - Jankowski - Rieder.
And realized I'm probably like the only guy who thinks this makes any sense
But if Lindholm goes with Tkachuk, you only have one winger left who has a previous track of being able to constantly play against the very best lines in the league, and that's Frolik. Who also has the best career .ppg out of the bunch I believe. He makes sense on the 1st line (given the premise of Tkachuk and Lindholm on the 2nd line.)
Then you'd have Mangiapane with Backlund AKA "The Rookie Whisperer", plus Ryan who I think fits nicely with that line especially considering the way him and Eatbread clicked at the end of last season.
These lines look just fine to me. If you want to give Bennett a chance at center with good wingers, you switch Bennett and Lindholm and you've got it.
