While I think the team has no shortage of talent, I do believe the top line is flawed. I don't think the top line has the horses to play a long playoff grinding type game. I too am with the group thinks we got outcoached during the playoffs, if it had been Darryl Sutter coaching, the Flames would have been the hardest working team on the ice. Instead the team just folded making that excuse that they weren't prepared because the Avalanche were playing meaningful games. To me that's just an excuse. Mike Smith playing this best games during the playoffs would have never happened under Darryl Sutter it would have happened during the season, or he would have been on the bench favor someone else. I know the Flames are trying to create a balanced team throughout the lineup but I think the top 2 lines need to be stronger.
