This is crazy.
Steinberg and Nault are discussing Edmonton's decision to start Mike Smith over Mikko Kostin'em. Sternberg says it's a bad sign after the big commitment to Kostin'em. He calls him the Oilers's "goalie of the future."
Nault disagrees. He says that Smith was pencilled in from day one given his history with Dave Tippett, who was always going to go with the veteran goalie.
"Goalie of the future"? Not a "veteran goalie"? These guys do realize that Kostin'em is 31-years-old, right?
That $13.5 m contract is amazing.
