The intent for the thread was definitely to be about movies you wouldn't change a single thing about. I was hoping to force people to think a little harder than just their favourite movies with rose-coloured glasses on. Be a little more critical of the things you love.

Ghostbuster is a top 3 movie of all time for me. I freaking love it, but I would definitely allow for those dogs to be remastered a bit. The claymation effects are really dated and obvious now. You can say "but that's part of the charm" but it doesn't take away that they look bad. The movie would not be ruined if some improvements were made to the special effects.

TBH, most special effects heavy movies of the 80 and 90s would be fine with some subtle remastering to improve them.

Lucas went overboard on the remastered Trilogy but some of the more subtle changes were great.

Granted, no movie is going to be 100% perfect but we're striving for as close as possible.
