I was watching Sprong play the other night on TV and was really unimpressed. Yes, it's only preseason, but he seems like the kind of player that has the skill and potential that just doesn't or can't put it all together consistently. Seems like the kind of player we'd be very frustrated with. And for a team that has a window of about 3 years or so of 'going for it' I don't think inserting projects into the lineup is the right move. A bottom feeder like the Oilers? Probably wouldn't hurt to take a chance.
