Don't love the term or the fact that the value spikes in year 3. I would have thought based on comparables that he would have been only getting 6 if the flames were going to let him become a ufa.
Unless the flames win something he seems very likely to take the qualifying offer and walk in 4 years.
The only plus I can see is that I frankly don't think he's going to continue scoring at the same rate as last year so at least the flames didn't lock in at 10 a year or something stupid.
