I thanked you here, because it's a good post on a complex topic. The thing is, I'm not just talking about that goal. Truth is, I feel that Leicester was the better team on the day and at best Spurs deserved a draw, so it's not just that.

But overall, VAR implementation is a joke. That goal just illustrates how silly it is because you have this camera angle and they're drawing lines down. I honestly couldn't see a difference in where the offside line was and where the player was. But truthfully, you have this camera angle where it distorts the life of that actual line in the first place. I understand that it's impossible to have a perfect view of the offside line at all times, and that's why we have assistants running up and down the side lines trying to make those calls in the first place.

I just dislike VAR. The implementation has been horrible in my view, although it would be worse if it was done the same way they did in North American sports. But it's close. Before we had this, I thought that I would want it because it would correct a lot of issues, but I was wrong. The human element is part of the game and makes it interesting. Having a player score and everyone going crazy only to find out he's offside by an imperceptible amount isn't fun. It's just lame. I guess this is what we get now, and it's a shame because I think it makes things less enjoyable for the fans.
