Pre-season goalies are tough to judge though, let alone coming in cold. I think Rittich struggled in pre-season last year, and Smith the year before.

The second goal he was way out of position. At the time of the release he should have essentially had the post sealed up but he was almost at the top of the crease still. It was a good shot but from that ankle there was a lot of net to look at.
Second shot I will agree was nice though. Could have played it more aggressively but I don't think anyone blames Talbot for that OT goal if the other two didn't go in
