He is the one that will lose out on money sitting part/all of the season. Then we can do it all again next year... I also feel like the flames could potentially stay above water in the conference during his absence, which in my mind cuts some of the urgency on our end.

I doubt the Flames will take that position, they will want this to be sorted out
before the seasons starts.
If for what ever reason the signing does not occur by the December 1 deadline,
This creates a glaring hole within the lineup that would have to be addressed IMO
I personally would avoid, listening to the speculation on what was offered etc.... I would bet its all false.
