I think Treliving may be holding for another comparable RFA to go.
If you use Marner and Aho as comparable players, a simplistic analysis using PPG would put Tkachuk at around 9M on 6 years based off Marner and 8M on 5b years based on Aho.
No forward in that tier has signed a bridge, no one has maxed term. If we get another signing at 5 or 6 years, that may help land a deal of that term. Get a couple of full term or bridge deals, those become easier.
A 3 year bridge with a bigger amount to qualify, kind of like the McAvoy deal, would be interesting, to allow the team to compete while Gio and Gaudreau are under contract, then recalibrate the salary structure.

If the contract is long term, and putting the flames over the cap, I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal sending Frolik to Columbus with a pick. They are short picks and NHL proven forwards, and have cap space to burn
