I first heard a snippet of The Cars' "Just What I Needed" (the tail end of the song) on an episode of WKRP in Cincinnati. I bought the debut album at Kelly's Record Store on Stephen Avenue Mall. At the time, I thought I was the only kid in my high school who liked them. It was either Disco or Heavy Metal if you wanted to fit in. It wasn't until post-secondary that I found likeminded folks.
