Quote:
The last season of Stone's three-year, $10.5 million contract was bought out on Aug. 1st. Despite that, he signed a one-year, $700,000 deal with Calgary on Sept. 11th. Stone was only able to play in 14 matches last season, so he knew there was a chance that a buyout was coming. Ultimately he's happy to be able to stay put and get a chance to bounce back with his old team. "You’re not really sure where you were going to be living come training camp," Stone said. "To not have to pack up the family and go somewhere… I’m happy to be staying. I still believe in this team, I still think we can do some good things and I am excited to be a part of that."
