Ruzicka - high level of skill for a player his size. His skating looks good and he is a handful for the Oilers D out there. Impressive so far. Great shot on his goal too, right under the bar and didn't need much time to get it off.
Gawdin - you can see why people refer to him as a leader. He is communicating with his linemates before every faceoff and directing them on the ice. You can see he is a thoughtful player and his skill level looks pretty good too.
Phillips - had one play where he held the puck and looked off the D only to take a shot and miss stick side by a couple of inches. He finds space out there and battles for every puck. He made some slick passes as well. I really like his stick skills and how quickly he releases passes and shots.
Zavgorodniy - reminds me of last year when he looked really good. He's a bit similar to Phillips as a right handed small guy who wins battles with quickness. I liked his period.
Pelletier - there is something about him that is hard to describe, but he does the same thing as some other players but his execution is just better. For example, on the powerplay there were a few opportunities for the Flames to get the puck and set things up but players kept losing it or having the puck bounce on them. Then he got involved and had the patience and focus to get full control and move the puck to a teammate with space and they were able to create some plays off of that.
Wolf - moves side to side really well and seems to have a great read of the game. Not many chances after I started watching, but looks solid.
