I think the one things that sportsnet has done well, particularly for Calgary, is having a solid regional team. The sportnet crew covering the flames games do provide a solid perspective of the flames news and analysis.
The national team analysis is typically garbage. I actually didn't mind Kypreos, especially by the end. The only part of the national broadcast I can stand or even tune into is the hockey hot stove or whatever, typically the 2nd intermission of game 1 of HNIC. Not real analysis, but some decent rumours and speculation talk with guys like Friedmann.

I enjoyed hearing from Hrudy because it was clear he spends (spent?) time with the team and would let little tidbits drop. Friedman as well would leak information from time to time. But if you're not telling me something I don't already know, I just tune out.
